Laurie Raymond

Laurie is a lifelong animal professional. Starting out walking, grooming, and training neighborhood dogs as a teenager, she has learned from, studied, and cared for them for decades. She was Special Projects Coordinator and then Shelter Director at the Progressive Animal Welfare Society of Lynnwood, WA. After moving to Colorado she served as Program Manager at the Longmont Humane Society. With partner Beth Byerly, she started High Tails Dog & Cat Outfitters in 2004 and served on the Board of Colorado Animal Rescue (CARE). Her certificate in mediation from CU has enabled her to find effective solutions to people-animal conflicts, including neighbor disputes over barking dogs.

After graduating from Jean Donaldson’s SFSPCA Dog Training Academy in 2004 she has taught dog training classes at several venues in the valley and worked as Lead Canine Behavior and Training Manager at Colorado Animal Rescue (CARE). With her MSW (emphasis on human-animal bond) from the University of Denver, Tracey works to help both species live together harmoniously and happily. She looks forward to putting her broad-based knowledge of animals’ status as family members to support the goal of harmony in the new pet-friendly residential communities.

What our customer say

“This is excellent!”
“As a landlord I’ve had way more damage done by children than by pets. Pets are an important part of peoples’ lives, especially here in our valley.”

“Great Service”
“The valley is such a pet-centric place. This service makes so much sense!”

“Wonderful idea!”
“We had a rental property for 10 years, we required pets. Never had a problem with the four-leggeds and winged ones.”
